General Therapy Questions

Do you offer online therapy throughout Colorado?

Yes! Springs Psychotherapy offers secure telehealth therapy to individuals and couples located throughout Colorado. Online therapy allows you to participate from the comfort and privacy of your own space without needing to travel to an office.

What types of therapy do you offer?

Springs Psychotherapy offers individual therapy, couples therapy, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Each service is tailored to your needs, goals, and the experiences you're navigating.

Who do you work with?

I have a particular passion for working with women who are navigating anxiety, past experiences, relationship challenges, people-pleasing, boundaries, self-worth, and feeling disconnected from themselves. I also welcome individuals of all genders and couples, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and diverse relationship structures.

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach is warm, collaborative, holistic, and trauma-informed. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness to help you better understand yourself, explore patterns, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up as you are, explore without judgment, and move toward meaningful change at your own pace.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Maybe you feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply know that something in your life needs to change. Therapy can provide a space to better understand yourself, work through challenges, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you are.

You also don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes knowing you want something to feel different is enough to begin.

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance availability can vary depending on the service and your individual plan. Please contact me to confirm current insurance participation and benefits before scheduling. Couples therapy and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy may have different coverage considerations than individual therapy.

Individual Therapy Questions

What issues do you help individuals with?

I work with individuals navigating a variety of challenges, including:

  • Anxiety, stress, and overthinking

  • Trauma and difficult past experiences

  • People-pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries

  • Low self-worth and self-doubt

  • Relationship patterns and attachment challenges

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure of what you want

  • Life transitions and feeling stuck or unfulfilled

My goal is to help you better understand the experiences and patterns shaping your life while reconnecting with your own needs, values, and sense of self.

Do I need to have a specific goal before starting therapy?

Not at all. Some people come to therapy with very specific goals, while others simply know they aren't feeling like themselves or want something in their lives to change. We can work together to identify what feels important and develop goals as we go.

How often do I need to attend individual therapy?

Frequency depends on your needs, goals, and circumstances. Many clients begin with weekly sessions, while others may benefit from a different schedule. We'll discuss what makes sense for you.

Couples Therapy Questions

What types of couples do you work with?

I I welcome couples of diverse backgrounds, identities, and relationship structures, including LGBTQIA+ and consensually nonmonogamous partnerships. Every relationship is unique, and therapy is tailored to the needs and goals of the people involved.

Do we have to be experiencing serious relationship problems to attend couples therapy?

Not at all. Couples therapy can be helpful whether you're navigating significant challenges or simply want to strengthen your relationship. Some couples seek support with communication, emotional intimacy, or navigating life transitions before issues become more difficult to work through.

What can we work on in couples therapy?

Couples therapy can help with communication challenges, recurring conflict, rebuilding trust, emotional disconnection, intimacy, boundaries, attachment patterns, and navigating major life changes.

The goal isn't to determine who is right or wrong. It's to help both partners better understand one another and develop healthier ways of relating.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Questions

What is ketamine-assisted psychotherapy?

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) combines ketamine treatment, prescribed and overseen by a qualified medical provider, with therapeutic support. The process may include preparation, in-person journey support, and integration to help you explore and make meaning of your experience.

Do you prescribe or administer ketamine?

No. Medication prescribing and medical oversight are provided separately by a collaborating qualified prescriber. My role is to provide the therapeutic components of the process, including preparation, journey support, and integration.

Where does ketamine-assisted psychotherapy take place?

In-person ketamine journey support is provided in Colorado Springs. Preparation and integration sessions are arranged as part of the therapeutic process.
